(More customer reviews)I picked this weight up to use with Jillian Michaels: Shred-It With Weights. I had been using a 3 pound hand weight and wanted something with more heft but which I could handle. This weight suits my needs perfectly. It is about 6 inches across and 6 1/2 inches from base to top of the handle. The handle is smooth but textured enough so it stays in a sweaty palm. The diameter of the handle is pretty small but large enough to be comfortable for those of us with decent sized hands. I wanted a cast iron kettlebell to avoid the issues others have had with sand and I also like the vinyl coating over the base of the bell. I have knocked my wrist with the kettlebell on several occasions and can't say that was a particularly good time. I do have to admit it was pretty much entirely my own ineptitude and, sadly, can't be blamed on the weight.
I have noticed you can get similar kettlebells for a bit less in brick and mortar stores. I can't compare them to this one as all the places I checked were sold out when I went to look. With shipping I think this item is fairly priced.
Recommended for those looking for a lightweight kettlebell.
